What CAN you feed your puppy?
    – Pretty much anything they will eat.
What SHOULD you feed your puppy?
    – Nice, quality dog food. I use Purina One Large Breed Puppy Formula. (Get one that relates to your dog. If your dog is not going to be a large breed, don’t get the Large Breed kind) Many people don’t like Purina, but it’s just fine for me. My puppy now (Labrador Mix) loves it. Also, our Australian Shepherd we used to have loved it too.

Puppy Chow is garbage, and you shouldnt feed your puppy this kind of food as it has nothing but fillers and junk in it.

Try Wellness for puppies, Blue Buffalo, Innova or Evo… Although these foods are pricier, they are much better for your puppy in the longrun.

**the majority of grocery store dog foods are garbage, Just my opinion**

  • Your vet will know the best type of food for her. Some different breeds have different nutritional needs while they are still growing. Definitely ask your vet! 🙂

  • Purina Puppy Chow is Crap! Never feed a dog food from a grocery store.

***This food isn’t the best of the bunch.

  • See answer #1. Stay away from food with grains and animal byproducts. I like Chuckles answer too.

  • DO NOT FEED WET FOOD- Wet food has meat-by products that have chemicals in them. Most people dont know that Meat-by Products are actually euathanized dogs and cats, dead zoo animals, and roadkill. Its true. I suggest ScienceDiet or Beneful at least. I dont reccomend mixing wet and dry foods because it could cause your dog to get sick as the dry food will expand in its stomach.

Edit: Most grocery store brand is complete garbage. ( you will notice it is good food if their poop is smaller because lest waste is passing through )

***Vets will try to tell you to feed Purina, Iams, and Science Diet. But don’t feed them, they aren’t good for your dog. Vets tell you those lies because they are PAID to do so!!!! It’s sad, isn’t it?***

Here is a website that rates dog food. Go to it and enter the food of your choice. You will want a 4, 5, or 6 star rating. If the food of your choice has a 1, 2, or 3 rating that means it is crappy food. The higher rating the better, the lower rating the worse.

Also, another great thing to feed is the raw diet. Raw is completely safe and healthy. It’s what I feed to my dog. Here are two great links about raw feeding, the healthiest thing for your dog.
